I found myself saying goodbye to Poland in a more emotional state than I had anticipated. My initial shyness and awkwardness had given way to a calmer, more settled self in Krakow. I’ve begun to feel at home here, and leaving home is always a little difficult.

Looking back, Krakow will be one of the most beautiful and important places in my life. Here, I had the opportunity to get to know myself much better. And even though this journey is over, what I’ve gained here will continue to influence the rest of my life.

Although I had worked with children before, I had never had the opportunity to be so involved in their daily lives. And working with them was truly unforgettable.

I can say that I learned pure happiness and love from them, and I am grateful for that.

My first experience abroad was in Poland, but I’ve also had the opportunity to travel to many other countries. On each trip, I realized I was actually on a journey to myself.

Now, as I say goodbye, I’m not the same person I was when I first arrived, and this change makes me happy, makes me feel like I’ve grown, and excites me for future journeys.

I would like to thank my coordinators, my friends, and everyone who has touched my life in some way on this journey.
