The new batch of volunteers has arrived in Krakow! Today we want to introduce you Sérgio Gonzaga from Portugal!

“Olá!
My name is Sérgio and I was a teacher back in Portugal, I am 28 years old and I studied Archaeology and History.
After visiting Krakow in June, I decided to trade sunny Portugal for beautiful Krakow, for the opportunity to experience this amazing historical city at the same time I could contribute to the community around me.
I chose the project in Internationaler Bund Polska office because it has immense potential to improve both my soft and hard skills, and at the same time I can grow as a modern European citizen.
After all, what kind of a traveller is a traveller if he doesn’t try to contribute to the places he goes?”

Sérgio joined us as a participant of the #Intergeneration project under the European Solidarity Corps, which is a funding programme of the European Union that creates opportunities for young people to volunteer, work, train and run their own solidarity projects that benefit communities around Europe.
