Hi everyone, My name is Dominique, I am 27 years old and I come from Toulouse in the south of France. I have a graduate degree in photonics (optics in industrial area like lasers, optical fibres, sensors…). After my studies, I worked for 2 years and a half with disabled people, first as a volunteer and then as an employee. After this experience, I wanted to discover another way to work with disabled people and I wanted to travel and discover a new country that’s why I chose to do a European Solidarity Corps.
Now I am in Krakow until the end of June 2021, in a special school with young adults from 15 to 23 years old. In my free time, I like going hiking and climbing especially in the mountain. I also like cooking, reading thrillers and SF and doing creative activities like painting or arts and crafts. I hope I will have a nice time here in Poland!
Dominique’s joined us as a participant of the Intergeneration project under the European Solidarity Corps, which is a funding programme of the European Union that creates opportunities for young people to volunteer, work, train and run their own solidarity projects that benefit communities around Europe.
