Are you ready to read a new post about our volunteer from Georgia? 🙂

My name is Tamara. I’m 25 years old and I’m from Georgia. I live in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. It’s a beautiful city with a lot of activities, with old and modern architecture together, beautiful parks, squares, places to visit and with amazing people.

Before this project, I’ve tried myself in different studies and jobs. I was studying Law and Marketing, I’ve tried myself in Acting and even in Aviation once. I’m a person who always searching for new challenges in life.

When I was 10 years old I joined International Scout Centre Rustavi (ISCR) so I became a scout girl and thank them i’ve learned how it is important to take care of others and most importantly take care of the environment. Later with them and Georgian Youth for Europe (GYE) volunteering became part of my life and thank them I’ve travelled to all part of my country.

My true passion is music. I’m the happiest person when I spend time with my friends, listening to music dancing and enjoying every moment of it. I also love cooking, different sports activities and board games.

Discovering new things and different cultures, meeting new people, travel, help others,  become a better citizen is the main goal for me and that was my motivation to join ESC long term project. I’m very happy to be here in Krakow and experiencing all of this with amazing people I’m meeting every day. I know this project will be one of the biggest experience in my life. I want to thank ESC for this opportunity and I hope more and more young people will join your projects in future.

Tamara’s joined us through the European Solidarity Corps project, as you know, it is a funding programme of the European Union that creates opportunities for young people to volunteer, work, train and run their own solidarity projects that benefit communities around Europe.
