IB Polska is happy to share a very good news with you: From March 2021 We are able to host a new volunteer from France, who was studying in Krakow and decided to become a volunteer with us.

My name is Etienne, I’m a French  22 years old guy. After a semester of history studying in Krakow, I decided to stay and become a volunteer. Joining the project of the IB Polska and working in a school with disabled kids is a great opportunity for me.

Every day I learn a lot by helping the teacher with the lessons and the other daily tasks. It is the first time that I work with disabled people and I love it, it teaches me how to be caring and listening to the need of students. And on top of that, this job helps me to practice my polish which is still quite bad.  Also, this volunteering allows me to stay in Krakow – a city with a rich history and a nice atmosphere.
Living here is really nice because if I have homesickness, I just need to take a bus with two hours of riding and visit the High Tatras  –  it remembers me of my native French Alpes…
Etienne joined us through the European Solidarity Corps Project, which is a funding programme of the European Union that creates opportunities for young people to volunteer, work, train and run their own solidarity projects that benefit communities around Europe.
