What are we doing to support people fleeing the war in Ukraine?
DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE:
Donations from individuals:
In accordance with the Personal Income Tax Act (Article 26, paragraph 1, point 9) regarding the possibility of deducting donations from income tax (since 1 January 2004), donations may be deducted:
- transferred for purposes falling within the sphere of public tasks (specified in Article 4 of the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and volunteering),
- organisations (including associations and foundations) referred to in Article 3, paragraphs 2 and 3 of this Act,
- conducting public benefit activities in the sphere of public tasks (not necessarily having the status of a public benefit organisation) specified in this Act.
Donations of no more than 6% of the income earned may be deducted from the tax base.
If the donation is money, it should be documented by proof of payment to the bank account of the donated organization.
Donations from legal entities:
In accordance with the Corporate Income Tax Act (Article 18, paragraph 1, points 1 and 7) regarding the possibility of deducting donations from income tax (since 1 January 2004), donations may be deducted:
- transferred for purposes falling within the sphere of public tasks (specified in Article 4 of the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and volunteering),
- organisations (including associations and foundations) referred to in Article 3, paragraphs 2 and 3 of this Act,
- conducting public benefit activities within the sphere of public tasks specified in this Act.
Donations of no more than 10% of the income earned may be deducted from the tax base.
If the donation is money, it should be documented by proof of payment to the bank account of the donated organization.
