Embark on a journey of creativity and literary exploration with our dynamic writing sessions.
For new members, here’s a glimpse of what to expect:
1. Prompt & Flash Fiction: We kickstart the meeting with short prompts. Within a very short time, unleash your creativity and craft a word-limited story based on a prompt from another writer. The challenge? Let your imagination run wild within the constraints.
2. Longer Writing Exercise: We then dive deeper into the writing journey with a longer exercise. Feel the thrill of time ticking away as you create a more elaborate piece. The time limit ensures a focused and dynamic writing experience.
3. Read Aloud (optional): We usually like to conclude the session by sharing what we have just written and explore the diverse narratives born from the writing process, but there’s no pressure to do so should you not want to share. We strive to promote a friendly, encouraging, and safe environment, hence only kind and constructive criticism is allowed.
Purpose: The time limits are designed to encourage free expression, unlock writer’s block, and explore the unexpected wonders of creativity. Writers on Krak is a Krakow-based self-run writing group; we’re a community of writing enthusiasts, fostering a chill, inclusive, and fun environment. Our writing family embraces all styles and voices: whether you’re into writing crime, fantasy, romance, or any other genre, you’re warmly invited to join.
