Hello, my name is Abril and I come from Spain, specifically from a small town in Alicante. I have a degree in Social Education, a field of study that taught me the importance of accompanying people in their life processes and building bridges towards a better future. Now, I am about to embark on a great experience: volunteering with children in Poland.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

From a very young age, I have felt a strong calling to work with people, especially children. I firmly believe that childhood is the foundation on which a more caring and stronger society is built, and that education is not limited to books, but is also found in games, conversations, trust and daily support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I consider myself an approachable, cheerful person with a great motivation to learn. I also consider myself someone with social sensitivity, eager to contribute and with the humility necessary to recognise that in every experience, one learns as much as one gives. I decided to undertake this volunteer work because I wanted to step outside my comfort zone, learn about new realities, and put into practice everything I have learned in my studies.
But above all, I chose it because I am convinced that social education knows no borders. Childhood, the need for support and the right to grow up with love and opportunities are universal, and I am thrilled to be able to contribute, even if only in a small way, to the well-being of children in another country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And although it is true that I could have done volunteer work with children in my city, the decision to do it so far from home stems from a personal conviction: life is meant to be spent discovering everything the world has to offer. Every place, every culture and every person offers us a different window through which to view reality, and I don’t want to miss the opportunity to look through them. For me, quality of life means living fully, opening myself up to the unknown, learning from every step and allowing myself to be amazed by what I find along the way. Poland and this volunteer work represent just that: a path to open myself up to new experiences, grow as a person and enrich my view of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have many expectations for this experience. On the one hand, I hope to bring joy, support and companionship to the children I will be working with, helping them to grow in an environment of trust and respect. On the other hand, I hope that this volunteer work will also transform me: that it will teach me to be more aware of the richness that exists in cultural diversity and also enable me to learn new skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am aware that there will be challenges, because being away from home and adapting to a new environment is never easy. However, I am approaching this stage with enthusiasm, excitement and the certainty that each day will bring valuable lessons.
In short, I am starting this volunteer work with an open heart, eager to share and learn. But above all, I have one great desire: that at the end of this experience, I will be able to look back and feel that I have left a positive mark on the children I will be working with and that, at the same time, they will have left an indelible mark on me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
