My name is\u00a0Asma, a Moroccan girl, I flew to Krak\u00f3w, Poland at the beginning of September 2024 to start my ESC volunteering journey and I had no idea how much this experience would shape me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spending these months as an ESC volunteer has been such a special chapter in my life. I had the chance to work in both a kindergarten and a school (primary and secondary), and honestly, each day brought something new.<\/p>\n\n\n
\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n
In the kindergarten, I assisted with daily activities, played with the kids, and helped create a fun, safe space for them to learn and grow. It was chaotic at times, but also super cute and rewarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the school, I prepared and gave presentations, created learning games to make English more fun, and helped organize school events. I also had the chance to support a student in learning English, and it was amazing to watch their progress and confidence grow.<\/p>\n\n\n

Outside of school, I prepared and presented sessions at a senior center and a private school, which was a completely different vibe but just as meaningful. It felt good to connect with people from different generations and backgrounds through language and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n

I also took part in school trips and activities, which gave me the chance to bond with students and teachers in a more relaxed way. It made me feel like I was truly part of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Outside the classroom, I also collaborated on a voluntary, unpaid basis with local coffee shops, restaurants, and hotels. In exchange for my services, I gained valuable experience and insight into how businesses operate, while contributing to local initiatives. On top of that, I volunteered with a museum, which was such a cool way to dive into the city\u2019s culture and history.<\/p>\n\n\n

This experience taught me so much not just about working with different age groups, but also about myself. I became more patient, flexible, and confident. And I\u2019m leaving with memories I\u2019ll carry with me forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
