Where do I start? Joining this project was very important for me because I knew I needed to step out of my comfort zone. And that\u2019s why I was very scared. I was coming to a country whose language and culture I did not know. Looking back after 10 months, I realize that coming to this project was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Working with chlidren with special needs:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello! My name is Firdevs, I am 26 years old, and I came here from Turkey. My project was to work with children with special needs and help them overcome the obstacles they face in their daily lives. But when I arrived, I realized that what I was doing meant so much more to both me and my students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We worked together in an amazing atmosphere with incredibly kind and loving teachers.<\/strong> Each month had a different concept. If the theme of the month was gardening, we would plant together and learn new things about gardening. If the theme was professions, we would act out what hairdressers do for the children. Also, we must not forget the trips we took!<\/strong> We went to the theater, the cinema, and the botanical garden together. Every moment I spent with them was very precious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
