As young volunteers in the European Solidarity Corps, we are lucky to have the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in the local culture and gain valuable experiences that will stay with us for a lifetime ! Recently, we had the chance to visit the Museum of Sukiennice in the city center of Krakow all together and it was truly a good experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During our visit, we had the chance to see the “Prussian Homage”, a huge and remarkable painting that depicts the homage paid by the Prussian king to the Polish king in the 16th century. The artwork is a shining example of how art can tell the story of history in a powerful and compelling way !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we explored the museum, we were struck by the beauty and diversity of the artwork. From religious paintings to portraits of historical figures, each piece had its own unique story to tell. We were particularly fascinated by the way in which these works of art gave us an insight into Poland’s rich cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the Museum of Sukiennice, we were given by our organisation an access to a wide range of other museums. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn and discover even more !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As volunteer youth in the European Solidarity Corps, we believe that gaining experiences like these is essential for personal growth and development. By immersing ourselves in new cultures and learning about the history that has shaped them, we gain a deeper understanding of the world and our place in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We even discovered a small roof-top caf\u00e9 on the top of the main square thanks to our visit !
