Last Wednesday, January 27, another craft workshop took place at IB Polska’s Nowa Huta headquarters. On this occasion, we created tulip planters using recycled materials, perfect for adding a touch of color and warmth to our homes.
The workshop began with the selection of the glass jars we would use as planters. As always, we worked with reused materials, giving a second life to jars that often end up forgotten in cupboards or thrown into recycling bins. Once the jars were chosen and previously prepared with primer, we started painting them together, sharing impressions and colors to make sure everything looked harmonious. Little by little, these jars began to transform into cheerful decorative pieces ready to brighten up our homes.

Once the jars were painted in a variety of colors, we moved on to choosing the tulips: how many to include, how to arrange them, and, perhaps the most challenging decision, how to paint them. After exchanging ideas and settling on our choices, we began painting and bringing the flowers to life. Each participant added her own personal touch, using unique color combinations and styles. Throughout the process, we shared thoughts and feedback on the workshop and on how our flowers were turning out.

We also took a few breaks to allow the paint to dry, which helped us move more efficiently through the next steps. While the flowers were drying, we cut the sponge that would hold them in place and carefully fitted it into the glass jar that would serve as the planter. We made a space for the stones and created small holes to properly position the flowers.

Finally, all that was left was to arrange the flowers to our liking, add stones to cover the sponge, and finish everything off with a ribbon around the planter. With that final touch, our creations were complete.
The next workshop will take place on Wednesday, February 4.
We look forward to seeing you there!
