On Tuesday, the 24th of February, we met all together as a big volunteer group to plant seeds and get our resident cards.

The day started at 10 am in the Nowa Huta office. First, we all sat together to share our feelings about the last couple of months as well as the wintertime. Seeing how time flies, every Tuesday meeting feels special, and so said Abril:
“Today I feel really happy because I’m here with all of you, and especially with the little time we have left, every Tuesday meeting is an opportunity to enjoy your company.”
Afterwards, we started the gardening workshop Krystina had prepared. We chose seeds like leek, tomatoes, pepper, basil, and many more, and placed them in small pots of soil.

A couple of seeds were planted in a few-centimeter-deep holes and watered. Now they are all standing on the windowsill in our office, waiting to grow and go to the garden in spring. A lot of us learned something new when Krystina shared her knowledge with all of us.
After a small lunch break, we went to the foreigner office to pick up our Polish resident cards, which are valid for ten years. Now the administrative stuff has finally come to an end.
With this, our monthly meeting came to an end, but we’re looking forward to the next one in March!
