There are many reasons to become a volunteer: To improve your local community, to gain new experiences or to meet new and interesting people.

However, for many people, just finding their path through the large variety of opportunities is quite a challenge. It’s exactly for this reason that we organized a “Volunteer’s Day” at the Multicultural center in Zabłocie 20.

Here, we, among a few other organizations set up a small stall to present the guests with a quiz, a lottery and some inspiring motivational quotes but also to get into conversation with them and to inspire them to become active in Volunteering themselves, maybe even in the ESC. Anna & I (Lionel) had quite a few good talks with some of the guests, who were all very interested in what we had to say. There was also a small one-man concert and catering, which was the cherry on top.

In conclusion, we can say that this was an enriching experience, both for us and for the guests and I am confident that we inspired a few people. As a volunteer, I also liked exchanging experiences and tips with people from other organizations.
