Last week, we were in Torun for our mid-term training. It was a great week with great people.

First day, we went for a walk and met each other. Then we took our time to rest. On Tuesday we started the day with a task. We had pictures of some statues around Torun. It was forbidden to use internet. So we walked around the city, found the statues and asked locals about the stories behind them. It was an interesting and fun task to do because we could explore around. Then in our way back, we had some chance to visit some churches. One of my friends told me about some rules and traditions in churches. I enjoyed learning about those things. After a break we played a short theater about the legends and stories we learned in the streets of Torun.

We had a session that we reflected our emotions, expectations, plans and satisfaction in many different ways. It was strange to do in the beginning, but after a while it was easier to see our needs and emotions. I didn’t expect it to work, but it was nice at the end. We shared with each other and I felt that I’m not the only one who had experienced those things.

We also visited Ethnografic Museum in Torun which was super cool. It was great to learn about old times in Poland. There was clothes, house furnitures and more. I’m the one who had the chance to put traditional clothes on. I always enjoyed those kinda stuff, so it was really fun. There was also a workshop about traditional paper curtains which I also loved. I’ll always keep my curtain I made there 🙂 The next day we also visited some other museums for some tasks.

On Thursday, we talked about Youthpass. Trainers gave us some important and vital tricks to pay attention while writing it. After the session, it was clearer for everyone. On the last day, we talked about future. It was tough for some of them, I see that, but it was helping at the same time I guess.

Our week in Torun with lovely trainers and new friends from all around the world was amazing!
