On Wednesday, January 14, we officially kicked off the new season of craft workshops at IB Polska’s Nowa Huta branch. This time, we started the year on a highly creative note by making picture frames decorated with paper flowers painted in watercolor.

The workshop began with the creation of small decorative details using stamp-like tools, which delicately formed subtle patterns in the background of each frame. After that, we painted the background in soft, understated colors so the paper flowers would truly stand out. All the painting was done using watercolors and special watercolor paper, allowing us to work comfortably and achieve the best results.

Once the background was finished, we let it dry and moved on to creating the flowers. These were painted in a variety of colors and color blends, giving each frame a unique and personal touch.

As we painted, a special sense of synergy emerged. The atmosphere reflected deep concentration and calm, as everyone worked quietly, allowing emotions to surface through this creative moment.

While the flowers were drying, we added additional decorations to the frames using white paste, which created a beautiful contrast with the painted background. Once everything was ready, we carefully cut out the flowers and glued them onto the frames.

With the flowers in place, we gradually created our own little “garden” within each frame. Every piece reflected its creator’s individual style, with different combinations of colors and flowers — all of them truly beautiful in their own way.

To finish, we added short phrases such as “Tu i Teraz” (“Here and Now”), completing a frame that will now decorate our homes.

This marked the first workshop of the year, but we would like to remind you that these fun and highly creative workshops take place every two Wednesdays. You are always welcome to join us.

We look forward to seeing you at the next one!
