It’s hard to believe that my ESC experience in Krakow has come to an end. These past months have been full of learning, challenges, laughter, and so many moments I’ll remember for a long time.

I did a lot of different things during these months. One of the things I enjoyed was working directly with people, especially during the Spanish and English lessons for seniors. I met some of the kindest and sweetest learners, and our sessions often turned into real conversations about life and learning about Polish culture and traditions. I gave presentations about Spain and about the European Solidarity Corps where I shared Spanish and Catalan culture, answered some questions and we hoped to inspire few people to start their own ESC experience someday.

I also worked a lot behind the scenes: writing articles for the blog and our website, putting together newsletters, creating Facebook posts, taking photos, and filming short videos for Instagram and TikTok.

There were also plenty of events and community activities. I helped organize fairs and promote ESC outside our organization, supported DIY workshops and I took part in walking tours around Krakow. Lastly, there was the community garden where I planted, watered, met other people, played badminton etc.

Also it was nice to live in another city and in a different country with a new culture. I learned some new words and traditions and I also had the chance to visit Poland and its most famous landmarks.

Now it’s time for the next chapter. I’ll leave Krakow having met so many new people and with a lot of new memories.
