Krakow—when I first arrived, I was immediately awestruck by the immense beauty and energy of Poland’s second-largest city. Having never been to this country before, I was unsure of what to expect, but from the very beginning, Krakow captivated me with its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. Over the next six months, I embarked on a journey that turned out to be a whirlwind of emotions, filled with incredible highs and challenging lows. I experienced moments of pure joy, excitement, and inspiration, but also fear, sadness, and uncertainty.

This experience changed me in ways I could never have predicted. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me grow, and taught me lessons I will carry with me for a lifetime. As a volunteer, I had the chance to connect with people from different backgrounds, to share experiences, and to witness the kindness and resilience of others. I saw the beauty of human connection and learned to appreciate the little moments—the laughter, the conversations, the shared struggles, and victories.

Now that it is time to leave, I find myself deeply grateful for every experience, every friendship, and every lesson I have gained. Krakow and its people have left an imprint on my heart, and though my time here is coming to an end for now, I know this is not truly a goodbye. One day, I will return to this city that has given me so much, and when I do, I will come back not as the person I was when I first arrived, but as someone who has grown because of it.
