I work as a volunteer at the Waganowice School Complex near Krakow. This is what my workday looks like and what I like the most:

First of all, I would like to point out that I feel very happy when I spend time with children. The morning starts in a challenging way. After I arrive at school, I always help Matwiej, a child with special needs in my class to change shoes and take off his jacket. This boy also needs assistance with movement. When the first lesson starts, I help the teacher organize tasks, such as handing out information letters. I distribute them to all the children and help them glue them into their notebooks.

After that, they have many lessons: English, Polish, math, sports, computer science, art, and music. I help this boy with writing the alphabet and reading. The sports lesson is especially fun—we play football, volleyball, and other enjoyable games together. Art class is also very engaging. I assist this Matwiej throughout because he is unable to cut paper or paint on his own. Additionally, during lunchtime, I help him eat because he has a physical disability. When the class has individual lessons, I always assist the children in going downstairs with the teacher.

Finally, once a month, we go on an excursion. Excursion time is wonderful! I help the teacher manage everything throughout the trip.
