My 10-Month Adventure in Poland

Hey, I’m Federico! I’m from Italy and I was born in Rome. I’m 27 years old and now I’m a volunteer in this project with the Foundation IB Polska for 10 months.

I finished high school when I was 18 and after that I started my first job in a pastry shop in the center of Rome. One of my tasks was also zo organize catering services for important events. Now I live in Orte, a little town not far from Rome, where I have opened my own holiday home, where you can enjoy some amazing sunsets.

Like many Italians, I love cooking, I love the sea but I also love doing sports, travelling and taking care of myself.

I decided to volunteer because it was one of my biggest wishes, but in the past I couldn’t do it because I didn’t have enough time. Now I finally have this opportunity.

A long-term international experience is something that was still missing from my life, and with this project I hope to improve my language and communication skills. I also want to leave my comfort zone and try something new and challenging.

I’m really happy and grateful for this opportunity, and I’m very happy to start my new experience in a primary school!
