Since September, I have been volunteering in Krakow. My project involved helping special needs children at a school, aiming to provide them with a better quality of life.

Throughout this time, I participated in many activities with them. We organized trips, went to the cinema, had design classes, and even created a song together. Communicating with them, understanding them, and seeing them smile was truly a special feeling. Working with the teachers at the school was also very enjoyable. I learned a lot from them, such as Polish and sign language.

IB Polska

The organization significantly accelerated my adaptation process here. They played a major role in making Krakow feel like home. We conducted many workshops together, and most of them were very helpful to me. My favorite activity was our monthly “Thursday Meetings.” In these meetings, we would evaluate the entire month, sharing our feelings and ideas with each other. Sometimes we met at the office, and sometimes at beautiful spots in the city, enjoying fun activities (as long as it wasn’t -20 degrees outside).

Friends

I met great people in Krakow. It was amazing working with the volunteers in my organization. It was a fantastic opportunity to make international friends. Additionally, I explored other cultures and languages. I’m really going to miss them all.

This was the best year I’ve ever had in my life. I’m so happy to have been part of all this. I discovered new aspects of myself, and I can say that this project contributed positively to my personal development. Thank you for everything!
