As my volunteering project is coming to an end I want to talk about my time here and what I learnt. The thing I’m most grateful about this experience is the people I met. I got to meet lots of people from around the world and they taught me things about their culture and ways of life. I also got to meet people from my country but different regions so I also got to learn about my own country.

From extremely cold to warm and green

When I got here it was extremely cold, all white because of the snow, and now I’m leaving and the country is full of sun, and green plants. I got to experience how the days were getting longer and warmer and how this place completely changes with the seasons (something that is not as drastic of a change as in my hometown).

People I met

I will always remember my time in Krakow as well as the people I met along the way. I will also remember my On-Arrival training in Warsaw where I got to feel like a child again and met so many people from so many different countries.

Made my dreams come true!

I feel happy that I finally did something I was thinking about for so long, I did two of the things that had been on my bucket list for years: I lived abroad and took part in a volunteering project.

A lots of travel

While living in Krakow I was also able to travel to new cities I had never been inside and outside the country and I travelled with some transportation I have never used before. I got to explore more of Europe and I hope I get to do so for the years coming.

I want to thank everyone involved in my volunteering, the coordinators, the teachers in kindergarten, the volunteers… for being part of my experience.
