We have successfully concluded another workshop, commencing our session by endeavoring to discern the situations stemming from the myriad of feelings and emotions we encounter. Ultimately, we gleaned insights into the existence of six fundamental emotions: anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, and surprise. The primary objective of this workshop was to foster awareness of our emotions, embrace them, and acquire strategies for managing them.
Colours as emotions.
To embody the initial step of emotional awareness, we engaged in a creative exercise. Using various paints, we sketched a circle on white paper, endeavoring to visually represent our self-perception. Concurrently, we meticulously documented our feelings and circumstances. Subsequently, in the acceptance phase, we correlated the expressed colors in our artwork with the previously noted emotions. This exercise unveiled the profound impact of these emotions on our inner world.
What can you see in your drawing?
The pinnacle of our workshop lay in the third and most crucial phase — the management segment. Following the presentation of our artwork, we elucidated the rationale behind our depictions and shared our coping mechanisms for dealing with negative emotions. The experience was truly profound and meaningful.
As the event concluded, we once again grasped the paramount importance of mental health and acquired valuable insights into overcoming negative emotions.
