When the arrival day came, we gathered to cope with hunger and fuel up with energy. During our first lunch together, we had the opportunity to get to know each other better. Later, we ventured outside to organize an activity to face the cold, strengthening the bonds within our group.

The second day commenced with Polish language lessons. Besides learning basic vocabulary, we formed groups to share our cultures. Crafting posters about Poland allowed us to explore and share our interests. This process enriched our experience, fostering both language acquisition and closer connections.

On the third day, we visited Warsaw’s historic center to engage in conversations about the selected topics. Despite the chilly weather, we braved the outdoors, sipped coffee, explored the city, and delved deeper into Polish culture. The highlight was receiving ESC T-shirts, symbolizing the culmination of our shared knowledge and strengthened bonds.

The fourth day began with another Polish lesson, followed by a presentation from the National Agency. We deepened our understanding of each other and focused on our project. Asking questions and participating in individual meetings helped clarify personal and group objectives. Alongside enjoyable activities like listening to Polish songs and attempting karaoke, we transformed the key project elements into a poster. In the evening, we went out with friends, enhancing our camaraderie.

On the fifth day, after breakfast, we gathered in groups to discuss social, mental, and physical well-being. Reflecting on the experiences of the week, we explored ways to support each other and foster personal development.

Concluding the program by summarizing and evaluating our journey, we closed an unforgettable week. Arrival training proved to be not just about language and cultural learning but also a process of finding a new family and building trust in each other. This week has been filled with hope for the future, and opened the door to a series of new beginnings.
