Büşra, ESC volunteer from Turkey

I came to Poland from Turkey for the ESC project. My name is Büşra and I am 25 years old. My main purpose in participating in this project was to improve my language skills and get to know Poland closely, since I had studied Polish at university. I knew that Krakow is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland. I love helping people and working with children. That’s why the project at IB Polska in Krakow caught my attention. Here I had the opportunity to meet children again and to meet people of different nationalities.

Now I’m spending my last days here thinking about what I’ve been through. Krakow impressed me a lot with its environment and its historical beauties as well. One of my favorite activity was going for a walk by the Wisła river on Sunday. It has become a habit for me and I think I will miss this activity a lot. Wisła one of the longest rivers in Poland. Many activities can be done on the river. For example, kayaking is very popular here.

Zakrzowek Lake is also one of my favorite place near by. In Krakow, you can get away from the city in a few minutes and be closer to nature. People go to swim here in summer. There are also other lakes close to the city, Bagry and Krispinow. There are also beaches there. I feel as if I’m on holiday by the lake there. I had really good times there after work.

One of my other favorite places in Krakow is krakus mound. You can see the whole city from this hill and admire the sunset. Other places where I like to spend time ere parks. Park Lotnikow Polskich, Park Jordana, Park and Bednarskiego.

I’m leaving soon but I wish all the next volunteers a good time in Kraków.
