Multicultural Walk: tracing the footprints of Middle Eastern influences in Krakow

On a sunny Sunday, July 20, another event took place as part of our Centre’s Multicultural Walks. This time, our friendly guide Paulina took us on a journey through the centuries, tracing the footprints of Middle Eastern and more broadly Islamic influences in Kraków.

Polish multiculturalism was a strongly felt theme. We focused both on historically distant influences that helped shape Polish culture, as well as contemporary ones, manifested through local businesses such as wellness and relaxation spots and numerous restaurants.

The walk was an incredibly enriching experience. It shed light on a topic that is not often discussed, yet, as it turns out, holds great significance for Krakow.
