We’re looking for volunteers who want to develop themselves, are passionate about ecology, mental and physical wellbeing and who want to create an inclusive environment together with us. You’ll volunteer in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe – Krakow, a vibrant place full of culture and opportunities.

Project starts in September 2024 and ends in June 2025.

Who can participate?

European Solidarity Corps is for young people between ages of 18 and 30. We’re looking for EU country citizens.

We’re looking for people who want to work with children, are open, empathetic, kind and motivated.

What are the tasks of volunteers? 

Activities will be different depending on where exactly are you going to be volunteering, but in general, if you choose school or kindergarten you’ll support teachers in their day-to-day activities, organizing classes, helping kids to learn. If you decide to work in our office or in the library, you’ll be helping in organizing cultural events, administration and social media. 

Where will you be helping?

  • SOSW Autism Center / Centrum Autyzmu – it’s an educational center comprising a kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and vocational center for people aged between 4 and 25 with autism. Read more in the info pack.
  • Special School Complex No. 11 / Zespół Szkół Specjalnych No. 11 –  is a leading institution in Poland which offers education and therapy for around 120 students with multiple disabilities, aged 3-25. Read more in the info pack.
  • Local Government Kindergarten No. 92 / Samorządowe Przedszkole No. 92 – located in a green area, outside the busy streets and urban noise. Their aim is development of cultural awareness and identity, as well as emotional and creative expression through art and music. Read more in the info pack.
  • Local Government Kindergarten No. 140/ Samorządowe Przedszkole nr. 140 – located in the Podgórze district, together with their Gnome patron their teach children about the world, near and far,  experience, create, learn to love and respect nature and each other. Read more in the info pack.
  • School and Pre-School Complex No. 11 / Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny No.11 – with over 900 children it is one of the biggest schools in the Bieżanów district of Kraków. The school takes part in a multitude of activities: ecological, promoting healthy lifestyle and more. Read more in the info pack.
  • Regional Public Library in Kraków – the main public library of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Each year it organizes over 50 cultural exhibitions. About 10 different workshops, meetings and training sessions on a very wide range of topics take place every day in the library spaces. Read more in the info pack.
  • IB Polska office – here you’ll support European Solidarity Corps project coordinators in their daily tasks, as well as support other activities organized by the foundation, such as the Multicultural Center in Kraków. Read more in the info pack.

Why would you apply?

You’ll learn a lot during the project. You’ll improve your personal and professional skills, you’ll meet people from all over the world and be able to work in a multicultural environment. We’ll support your own projects and initiatives, and our mentors will help you with first steps in a new country.
