Every Tuesday at 17:00, the Multicultural Centre in Krakow (Centrum Wielokulturowe w Krakowie) offers a free yoga class, open to everyone. The exercises can be adapted to individual needs and the teacher, a kind Polish woman, also speaks English, making the class accessible to foreigners.

If you don’t have your own equipment, don’t worry: the centre also provides yoga mats. The session begins with gentle stretching to prepare the body for more challenging postures. From the beginning, one of the main focuses is breathing, which helps make the practice more mindful and deeply relaxing. The teacher, rather than emphasizing perfect form, encourages participants to listen to their bodies, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, far from the rigid environment some people might associate with yoga.

The class ends with calming stretches and a guided breathing exercise. With relaxing music in the background, participants are invited to reconnect with their breath and body.

I will definitely come back and I recommend this experience to anyone interested. Beyond the wonderful guidance of the teacher, who truly shares her love for the discipline, this is a great way to unwind, improve flexibility and be present with yourself and your surroundings.
