Last Wednesday, at the Nowa Huta branch of IB Polska, we held another one of our wonderful craft workshops. This time, we made Christmas tree ornaments by creatively reusing the cardboard rings left from adhesive tape. A simple everyday object that would normally be thrown away became something beautiful and festive!

The workshop began with Aneta explaining the process and showing a few sample ornaments to inspire the participants. From the very first moments, the atmosphere in the room was warm and cooperative. Everyone worked side by side, helping each other and moving forward at the same time. This collective process created a truly special sense of community.
With every new step, the ornaments looked more and more stunning. Many participants couldn’t believe these decorations were made from recycled cardboard, materials that would have otherwise ended up in the trash. It was a wonderful reminder that creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand.

When all the final touches were completed, and the ornaments were ready to hang, the participants immediately started asking about the next workshop! We’re happy to announce that the next event will take place on December 10th in the same location.
We are now one step closer to having our homes ready for Christmas!
The workshop was led by Aneta and María, a volunteer from Spain participating in the European Solidarity Corps.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you again at the next workshop!
Let’s keep creating, connecting, and celebrating together!
